Hi,

We've discovered we have a huge amount of PTR records missing in our DNS.
This DNS infra is still static and DNS registrations are done by a script,
which only registers A records in the forward lookup zone.

The question raised upon that information was if there was a quick way to
identify all A records that don't have a PTR record...?

You could do it with nslookup and find.



I do most of my stuff like this using the (free) Lumisoft library and
PowerShell. See here for a script that's 90% of what you need:
