I don't ever Dean blogging even if he got paid to do it... too much typing.
He might do some audio or video blogging where he just talks your ear off
for 30 or 40 minutes though...

My blog should be getting more on technical track again pretty soon. I had
an issue I recently discovered which explains the way I have been (at least
to me) since last October or so and now that I have cleared that up my
technical juices are starting to overflow again as I try to get caught up (I
will likely blog about what happened in the short term so what happened to
me won't happen to anyone else or at least hopefully not). The words are
starting to boil to the top and many emails I have to respond to will end up
becoming blog entries. Maybe some will give you deep dark gnarly content,
maybe they won't. Whose to tell until they are actually available.

Knowing O'Reilly, we will see the cookbook and AD4e in January and it won't
be the author's faults... I have it on good authority (well ok, maybe not
good, but O'Reilly folks) that I am being considered as a TR resource for
both so I will try to keep those author's honest... ;o)

I have it from a similarly good source that the 3th ed of the AD
Cookbook will be out in a similar timeframe as the 4th ed of the
Active Directory text.

As far as AD blogs, I find it's a hodge-podge of sources that,
combined with ActiveDir, end up doing the job. As Dean doesn't blog
(since he doesn't get paid for it ;-)), there isn't one single AD blog
that I would tell you is the only thing you need to read for
"deep-dark gnarly content." Some of the good ones in my book: (not
bothering to look up URLs, they're all Google-able if you're
interested)

* The AskDS blog referenced earlier
* joe Richards's blog
* Jorge de Almeida-Pinto (and really all of the blogs on the dirteam site)
* Brian Desmond
* Brian Puhl (slightly more design-y architect-y operational-y content
than deep-dark-gnarly, but still worth keeping up with)

That's my short-list, but there are many others worth subscribing to -
any omissions are mine and the result of lack of coffee, check the
links on the activedir homepage or, as always, Google is your friend.
:-)
