It was bought up on the list earlier that the name displayed in ADUC is not the displayName but really the CN which is made up of the first name and last name.
I guess this depends on the Display Specifiers node in the config NC.
How does this relate to the GAL?
How do names get built for that?
is the GAL the same name as ADUC name?

Also, in my AD, some names in the "name" section of ADUC are the sAMAccountName and not the CN.
how does that work?

Finally, some of my users have 2 UPN suffixes and some just have the default domain one.
My root is empty so i guess thats why the root domain never shows up as a suffix?
In ad domains and trusts mmc, there are no suffixes listed.

so, i ask, what the heck is in a name?
Thanks
