Windows Server 2008 - Are there any child domain DC OS level
dependencies on root domain OS levels? In other words, can a child
domain bring up a Server 2008 DC without the root DCs being at 2008?
Any comments on mixing Windows 2003/Windows 2008 domain controllers
either within a domain or throughout the forest? TIA!

Yes. You need to do forestprep and the relevant domainprep/rodcprep though
first.

Well, to answer the question posed, the answer is no, actually. There is
no OS dependency. Instead there is a dependency upon adprep.

:-)
