SUMMARY

Live Mesh enables users to use Remote Desktop to synchronize their files
across multiple devices, independent of their location or network
topology. Network administrators may seek to prevent this kind of access
to or from their environments. This article describes how to do this.

MORE INFORMATION

The recommended way to block Live Mesh is to disallow network traffic to
the Live Mesh Services. This action will block the Live Mesh client from
communicating with other devices. To prevent all access to Live Mesh
Services, you can block HTTP and HTTPS traffic to mesh.com and to all
sub-domains.

If you want to enable access to the Live Mesh Web experience but
disallow Live Mesh clients (Live Remote and Live Folders), you can block
HTTP and HTTPS traffic to the following Live Mesh Web sites:
• Storage.mesh.com
• Accounts.mesh.com
• Ag.mesh.com
