| I am in the process of looking for training. I went to DEC back in March and plan on going again next year. I just wanted to see what Training people on this list have taken this year or are planning on taking.

| At some point Dean was meant to be running a public AD course in the Netherlands (he can pipe up as to the continued relevance of that statement). As far as I'm concerned, there's not a single better training course to go to.

| If you're with an organization that has a Microsoft Premier contract then talk to your TAM. They have a AD troubleshooting class that isn't bad and it can be paid for out of existing contract support $$$. However if you can get in Dean's class then by all mean do!

I would love to go to one of Dean's training sessions. But I would not be able to go out of the country, I am in the US on the East coast. Is there any good training in the US coming up that anyone would recommend.

| If there's enough "critical mass" (i.e. not just one or two folks wanting training), that's what we at Intelliem do, as well. We come in with advanced AD (and other topics), totally customize it to your enterprise (including running the course on a 'replica' of your domain infrastructure) so that everything you learn is directly relevant to your implementation, policies, procedures, and workflows. It's not affordable for one or two folks, but it's actually more affordable for teams... that's what it's targeted at. I don't want to use this DL to 'plug' it, but just so you know we're out there.

It was a few years ago but the troubleshooting class was good. In our case we did an onsite with our EA staff. It was nice because when we came to a topic we had experienced operational issues with in our environment we could slow down or even stop the class to discuss it. The class explains how to troubleshoot DNS, AD/FRS replication, with practical explanations of the command line and GUI tools and when and how to use each. As with any class the instructor can make or break it. I can't recall who from MS did our session but the engineer had previously been to one or more of Dean's internal training sessions for PSS type folks.

| As a former instructor of the MS AD t-shooting class and as a consumer of Deans class... I strongly recommend using MSE Technology. You can use your premeir dollars, but you have to fight for it. It is well worth it.
Dean/Johns delievery and content cannot be matched. It is simply the best.

| Thanks for everyones input.
We are in the process of getting premier support so I will see if it would be an option to put additional funds in there towards either MSE Technology or the AD troubleshooting.
Dean: Do you know what the anticipated dates or months the public training may be offered.
