We've started testing using ADUC to map H: to the users home drive.

But we've notice it doesn't seem to be persistent for notebook users,
that boot up when they are not connected to the network or use wireless
(our wireless requires AD credentials so a computer doesn't get a IP
until after they've logged in)

Using the ADUC can I make the H: drive mapping persistent?

Thanks,jb

Did not see an answer to this:
That really has nothing to do with the ADUC or the logging in. Clients are
optimized for user experience (putting a good/great eXPerience into
computing etc. Not sure how Vista taglines it.) To provide a faster
experience, the client won't wait for the network to start logging in and by
the time the network catches up, the desktop is already being loaded and the
logon didn't map the drive.

You have several options including startup scripts (gpo), changing the gpo
that tells the OS to wait for network logon, or user preferences. Vista does
this slightly differently than XP as I recall, so it matters which you are
using.

You may also get some good response from some XP/Vista oriented newsgroups
as well.
