Hi,

Anybody run into the scenario of needing a Cross-forest trust to enable TS licensing server sharing??

Our scenario is that we have three forests (W2K3 SP2) both with multiple Terminal Servers in application mode in all of the forests. We have the TS licensing server in Forest A and multiple TS/App servers in Forest A and in Forest B are quite happy to get licenses from that single license server. We have a new Forest C where we are having trouble getting a TS/App server to receive licenses from the licensing server in Forest A. We did some trouble shooting with our friends at Microsoft PSS and was told "TS licensing without cross forest trusts is not a supported configuration".

I am asking the ActiveDir list because if I remember correctly the mechanism for TS licensing, a Cross Forest trust has nothing to do with it. If you simple add the reg hacks to point to the right TS licensing server and you're golden. I am thinking the MS PSS answer is frankly a cop-out and/or BS.

Thoughts???
