| All,
Is there a documented change in behavior with Vista\2008 in the way the Object Picker enumerates domains when querying the GC's??? I am seeing a difference in the way 2008 enumerates domains in ADUC when adding a user to a group as opposed to 2003.
Setup and Difference in Behavior: -------------------------------------------- Our 2003 Native Forest is composed of a root and several child domains.
If a SysAdmin is logged into a 2003 server and attempts to add a user to a group by selecting "Add" from the "MemberOf" tab in the User Properties, he is only able to choose the domain the user is a member of under the Select Groups "Locations" button. No other domains in the forest are listed.
If a SysAdmin is on a 2008 Server then all the domains in the Forest are displayed when he selects "Locations". ---------------------------------------------
I know we query a GC when attempting to resolve a back-link (memberof) but I can't find anything that describes the change in behavior with 2008. There is no change in behavior if you are adding a user to a group via Properties of a Group.
Thanks.

| Off the top of my head, it was a bug fix most likely. Since the user could be added to any universal group in the forest, all domains should be available in Locations list.
What seems to be the problem here?

| Mostly a sanity check on my part that the change in behavior is expected. So I was looking for confirmation.
Other than that I have no other indications of any problems.
Thanks for responding.
