If you're really interested in it from a compliance and cost recovery
perspective then there are products like Equitrac

Hi Andrew,
You can use HP's Jetadmin for doing that
http://h20338.www2.hp.com/hpsub/cache/332262-0-0-225-121.html
Also, if you have devicelock (to manage removable drive access), there
is now an option to monitor prints fired from each desktops.

Thanks,
Ajai

Hi all,

Further to this. I have managed to find one system, Printer
Activity Monitor, by Redline Software:

I post this in case anybody else, like me, needs this.

Not natively and I am not aware of any third party
product that does this, but sadly I'm guessing there is something
available to eavesdrop on folks. One way you can do this is to save all
your print jobs after there done printing. I was forced into this
scenario by a mad hatter many years ago on a color printer.

IMO this is a incredible time sync and really annoys
employees.

Thanks

Paul

actually viewing what's being printed

Hi all,

First time I've asked a question. Hope it's not
considered off-topic.

Is there any way in AD to monitor, log, report and
actually view what's being printed on all our printers in AD?

I have been using Papercut print logger, but it doesn't
allow me to see what us being printed.

Is there any software out there that will do this? Or is
there something built-in to AD (doubt it) that will silently output all
print jobs so that an Administrator can review?

Thanks in advance,

Andrew
