Hello:

I would like to reset the NTFS permissions on one of my Windows Server 2003
R2 Domain Controllers. It appears that everything under C:\Windows was set
to inherit from C:. When I run the Security Configuration and Analysis MMC
and analyze it against the DC security.inf template, I see lots of red X's
in the File System section (Program Files, System Volume Information, and
Windows). When I run that snap-in against a "clean" DC, I really don't see
much red.

So, the question is should I reapply the default security template? If so,
which one (or ones)? I have seen postings on the Web that indicate I should
use setup security.inf and then DC security.inf.

Thanks,

- Noah
