Microsoft last week on Microsoft.com/downloads published a guide on Active Directory Design - it says a UK Health org, but it works in a lot of orgs.

We've just aquired a manufacturing company who are currently a Novell house.
They have approx 300 users across 3 sites.

For my own professional development my boss has asked me to create a high
level design of what their new Windows 2008 Active Directory Forest will
look like. (For reasons I won't go into, they'll require their own separate
forest)

I've never done this, how would you approach this? what subject areas need
to be included as part of a high level design and how much detail?

for starters, I was thinking:

* Active Directory Forest architecture
* Trusts
* Group Policy
* DNS
* DHCP

I suppose the real question is what would you be expecting from a high level
active directory design document?
