| Hello Everyone,
Anybody know a tool (free) or script to compare 2 GPOs and report the differences. One possible method I m thinking about is using comparing the xml files once you export the GPO settings to XML not sure how much effective it is .

| AGPM *may* be able to do this (free, MS) and GPM can *definitely* do this (not free, Quest).
Both expose a scripting interface which no doubt can be leveraged to achieve your requirement, too.

| GPO Compare by sdmsoftware is a good product for this. It isn't free but it is reasonably priced and does a great job comparing two GPOs.

| Try, "Beyond Compare" free for trial and then reasonably priced. It can be used to compare several different things beyond text content.
Find the guid of the GPO's you want to compare in sysvol. Run the comparison between the two folders and it will output the differences. I used it to help with getting rid of morphed folders in my SYSVOL.
Just a thought.
