Hi all, I was hoping for advice with a DNS problem I inherited with a multi-domain forest. The forest has a parent root domain called CompanyA.com and a child domain called CompanyB.com. There are three AD sites and four DCs total; HQ (CompanyA.com), Remote1 (CompanyB.com), and Remote2 (CompanyB.com). The HQ site has two Win2k3 DCs and each remote site has one Win2k3 DC. DNS is AD integrated on all DCs. The challenge I have is the DNS zone for CompanyA.com is stored in the ForestDNSZones context which does replicate correctly but the child domain has an ancient copy of that zone in its Application partition which is what it actively uses. When DNS starts on the child domain DCs, an EventID 4515 (DNS) is logged since the zone is located in two different partitions. Running dnsmgmt.msc on the child domain DCs shows the CompanyA.com zone is configured to replicate to 'All DCs in the AD domain'. On either forest root domain DC, the same zone is configure for 'All DNS servers in the AD forest.'  I want to correct this and have the child domain use the copy within the ForestDNSZones context. Would the steps, on a child domain DC, be to: uncheck the 'AD integrated zone' setting on CompanyA.com and Apply, go back into the properties and change the replication type to 'All DNS servers in forest and Apply, and then restart the Netlogon service? Is there a better way or am I off track? Thanks, Daniel
