Hello everyone,

hoping to get some answers for my questions regarding RODC, especially
from people who already installed/running RODC in their organization and
have real world experience.

1. What helped you to decide regarding RODC placement ?

2. How is RODC working in your environment ? (any operational
issue etc, )

3. How you managing adding/removing users from the password
replication policy when an employee joins/moves organization ?

4. What's working well with RODC ?

5. How's RODC coexist with other services/application in a same
box (apps server/F&P boxes etc)

6. Any other feedback you wish to share ?

Forgive me if my questions sounds silly, just trying to understand more
about RODC.

PS: highly appreciate if the answers are apart from the TechNet articles
J

and thanks for the reply on my previous email about GPO comparison.

Hello everyone,

hoping to get some answers for my questions regarding RODC, especially from people who already installed/running RODC in their organization and have real world experience.

1. What helped you to decide regarding RODC placement ?

RSMS: Major sites that need to be able to operate independantly of whether the main sites are visable.

2. How is RODC working in your environment ? (any operational issue etc, )

RSMS: Excellently.

3. How you managing adding/removing users from the password replication policy when an employee joins/moves organization ?

RSMS: A powershell script that runs every twelve hours that populates a group based on physical address of user.

4. What’s working well with RODC ?

RSMS: All of it.

5. How’s RODC coexist with other services/application in a same box (apps server/F&P boxes etc)

RSMS: Services on the same box? We use it as the local print server as well. Beyond that I wouldn't run applications on any form of DC.

6. Any other feedback you wish to share ?

Forgive me if my questions sounds silly, just trying to understand more about RODC.

PS: highly appreciate if the answers are apart from the TechNet articles :)

and thanks for the reply on my previous email about GPO comparison.
