I have an issue with certain users when attempting to place them into
Domain Local Groups across an external trust. Background: The trusts
are external two way with sid filtering turned off and work well for 99%
of users. We have a few users though that will not appear in ADUC to
allow them to be added to domain local groups. I can add these users
using the net localgroup command and if I recreate the accounts that
works as well, but I am looking to better understand how the list of
users is created, cached or queried from one domain to another in ADUC.
This knowledge will allow me to better troubleshoot these one off issues
and see if there is some underlying issue I need to address.



Any help is welcomed.
