| Our CEO asked if it was possible to setup a vpn and join his smart phone to the domain. Can Windows mobile or Android devices join a Windows 2003 domain?

| You can't join either of those to the domain, but you can subject them to policies enforced via ActivSync such as password complexity, wipe device, etc.

| I guess you'll have to invest some bucks on System Center Mobile Device Manager.

Active Directory Domain Services
Your current Active Directory Domain Services structure can be used to join and manage Windows Mobile 6.1 and Windows Mobile 6.5 devices from a centralized interface provided by System Center Mobile Device Manager. Integration with Active Directory and Group Policy services provide simple, central control.
