This allows people to use Inbox rules to filter any content that is not specifically related to AD. I’ve seen Outlook working in Citrix environments. It’s usually not a problem, but generally you would want to avoid Outlook in cached mode and prevent the creation of PST files. There is also a strong argument to use OWA as an alternative to the full Outlook client in environments that have Citrix given that the latest versions of OWA (Exchange 2007 and 2010) have a rich set of features that approximate the experience of the full client.
