Adrião -
If joe's suggestion for fixing the sound connection object does not work, try removing the drivers completely, reboot, and see if they detect and reinstall. See if there are updated drivers, or simply update the drivers with the drivers you have (assuming they are not the Windows built-in drivers - if they are, try to get OEM drivers). There is more help on this site (and others I'm sure), and I've pasted an excerpt to get you started... but it's a good chance that the drivers are corrupted or the card has failed. Good luck -

You could also try switching the PCI slot that the card is in. That usually
causes the OS to reinstall the card.

It sounds (heh) like the problem is related to the Sound
connection object which is objectClass deviceSpeaker. I would recommend
triggering the SounDProp thread by firing the fixTheBloominSound operational
attribute.

Before triggering SounDProp, I think we first need to establish the Forest
Functional Level and how many Sites and GCs are in this environment. It
appears that that attrib is multivalue and has the potential to engender
excessive replication that may fire KCC and saturate the WAN link in the
process. Besides, the question of when this object was last replicated (I
mean found to be functional) needs to be established as well. This will tell
us if simply reanimating the object will be sufficient or if a full-blown
auth restore is necessary.
