| Hello,
I have a strange trouble on a Folder shared with SFU. I had 1 AD user who was mapped to a Unix user on SFU. This user have read, write and modify on 1 shared (SFU) folder. I copy my user to make an other, I map this second user with an other Unix user and I give it the same permissions as the first one on the same folder.
On unix, the folder is mounted, I create a file on this folder with each users. I try to deleted it (with the "creator"), I receive an error.
I go back on Windows, I look at the permissions. On each files UserA have Full permission, modify, read, write and the permissions are inherited. The UserB have modify, read, write and the permissions aren't inherited.
Why the 2 users don't have the same permissions ????? Why unix users can't delete the files ?????
Thanks.

| So are you using SFU's NFS server to provide an NFS mount for a Unix user?
If so have you followed any of the support articles such as
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/262984/en-us http://support.microsoft.com/kb/252770/en-us http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321049/en-us http://support.microsoft.com/kb/289627/en-us
My experience with SFU is that it doesn't 100% out of the box, without configuration to your environement.

| I see it... In a first time, I don't hove inheritance from folder to files and I add KeepInheritance with a value 1 in the registry. After restarting te nfs server service, I have the trouble.
We have another SFU file server with a little difference. In this one, the users are local users. I compare the 2 registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Server for NFS\CurrentVersion\Mapping)and I don't see a difference between the 2 servers.
