| hi all,
we've recently setup a new dc in a new site and have specified in the scope options for relevant subnet that the primary dns server is the new dc. what we are observing is users are recieving errors about not being able to access roaming profiles and our logon script fails. funnily enough you seem to be able to use nslookup to resolve dns names fine.
our dns is setup to use ad integrated zones and if you change a computer in the new site to use an existing dc, there are no problems at all. the dns servers seem to be setup identically, and the zones appear to be replicating correctly.
any suggestions?

| Can you be more specific about the errors you are receiving?

| sure. i'm being told users are recieving the error "unable to locate a copy of your roaming profile. windows will use your local profile", i'm also told the logon script doesn't execute at all, and any share that the user tries to map, reqeusts authentication, and they can't authenticate.

sorry to trouble anyone, thanks.
