Betreff: RE: [ActiveDir] OT: NTFS permission problem again..

Hi,
As mentioned below. I am setting NTFS full permission & accessing it locally.
The permission is very simple. Just the IT Group with NTFS full control. No deny or anything else.

There is no need to reset the permissions as I am the owner. Just I wonder why is is not working.

P/S: If I add my user ID directly it work without problem.

Regards,
M. C. Liew

If accessing through a share, you should have the access you need on both share and NTFS.
Other option is some deny rights on the file or folder

If none of these, I'd say chkdsk your volume, take ownership of the files and folders, and reset permissions on all child objects.

Regards,
DavyP

Hi,
I have a folder which I assigned to allow only IT group to access with NTFS full control. I am member of the group. The effective permission showing I have full control as well. Yet I get Access is denied when trying to open the folder locally. What could be wrong? Please advise.

Regards,
M. C. Liew
