With Win2003 R2 DFS-R snap-in you can "Share" or "Share and Publish" a
replicated folder you configured in a certain replication group.

What I would like to do is to "Associate" that replicated folder to an
existing DFS folder (with targets) of an existing NameSpace w/o sharing it
(kind of "Publish Only"), because that replicated folder is a child of a
folder that is already shared. uhm.let me make an example.

DFS NameSpace: \\domain.ext\itstuff <file:///\\domain.ext\itstuff>

DFS Folder: \EMEA (no targets)

DFS (sub)Folder: \MSI folder target: \\server01\its$\MSI
<file:///\\server01\its$\MSI> (DFS path: \\domain.ext\itstuff\EMEA\MSI
<file:///\\domain.ext\itstuff\EMEA\MSI> )

folder target:
\\server02\its$\MSI <file:///\\server02\its$\MSI> (DFS path:
\\domain.ext\itstuff\EMEA\MSI <file:///\\domain.ext\itstuff\EMEA\MSI> )

etc.

DFS-R replication group: "MSI" folder replicated among Server01, Server02,
etc. Note: MSI shows up as "not published" but everything works.

I would like to associate MSI replicated folder (its$ is the parent share) -
that is showing up as "non published" - to the existing
\\domain.ext\itstuff\MSI <file:///\\domain.ext\itstuff\MSI> DFS path.

If you create the replication group when adding different targets and the
system ask you if you want to setup a replication group, the replicated
folder shows up as "published", I can't get it from the opposite direction..

Any idea or should I overcome the GUI and mess in DFSR-GlobalSettings with
ADSIEDIT?

Thanks - Gabriele.
