Note how they always use joe as an example object Just in case you wonder: the DN is actually not what's stored in the linked attributes at the database level. Instead just the DNT - the DistinuishedName tag - is stored, which is basically a reference to the actual DN of an object. In poking around (I maybe looking at this wrong) I see that the 'managedby' attribute has a "linkID" of 72 - and the backlink ID is 73: "managed objects" If I extract the users DN and populate that into the 'managedby' attribute of the workstation Ώ] do I also need to update the user's corresponding object and update the 'managed objects' attribute with the DN of the computer object? If not, I'm not going to cause some massive breakage/referential integrity issue - or does AD handle those links itself, somehow? Thanks in advance!
