Hi All

Sorry ... this is extremely off topic, hope nobody minds. I've tried
googling this but nothing seems to fit our requirements - I'm looking
for some software to give potential helpdesk employees (and other
technical positions) an assessment of their technical skills. All I
really want from the software is:

1. Test multiple candidates (ie a different profile for each one),
but not necessarially at the same time
2. NOT be online or require an internet connection... the last thing
I want is people googling stuff !
3. Prefereably be full screen so that candidates can't check certain
things in Windows to answer questions
4. Allow us to create our own custom tests and questions
5. Not be too expensive (less than $500) or better still - free !!

It doesn't need to be client server or talk to a SQL server or
anything. I just want to run assessments for candidates and then get
feedback - all from one PC is fine

I did download a trial of Candidate Select (www.candidateselect.com)
but it asks for a username and password when I launch it and there's
nothing on the website to say what the username and password for the
trial is !

Anybody have any tips/suggestions on software that you use ?

Thanks in advance
M

hmm, strange - I can't find that in the help file I have :o( Even
though it's obviously the same file !! It did work though, so thanks
very much, really appreciate it. The software is quiet good, but it
doesn't allow me to create any custom tests/questions and the
questions are a bit basic

Anybody else have any other suggestions on software you've used ?

Thanks again
M

"Fully featured" and "free" are usually mutually exclusive :)

It doesn't have to be free :o) That's just an ideal scenario !!!
What I meant by free was any sort of generic GNU stuff that could be
used (eg a student assessment system that I could plug my own
questions into). If that makes any sense ?

Thanks
