Hi,
There is one thing I love with the ICF (Windows Firewall with Advanced Security). When you create a rule and want to apply a scope, you can choose a Predefined set of computers. That's cool! BUT! What's NOT cool is that there's no way to define your own set. Or am I wrong? Please tell me I'm wrong!
OR is there a way to script things? I'm about to make some major changes to the IP-addresses for both domain controllers and servers (adding IPv6 etc.). Most of my servers get their firewall settings from GPOs so there's where I want to fix things. Can it really be that difficult as it seems?
Last time I changed the IP-address for a management server I actually exported the ICF-settings, edited them in a hex editor and imported them again(!) That can hardly be good practice ;)
Best Regards
/Johan
