I have setup ADFS for a couple of customers now with a Hybrid Setup. It works well, with few overheads.However in both these instances I was migrating Exchange OnPremises to Exchange Online.My next project is a Google Apps for Business Migration (Soley Gmail) to Office365. I don't want to put an onpremises Exchange Hybrid Server (although I like the idea you can do this for free when you move to Office365) just for this. Can anybody see any downside of doing an IMAP Migration with Azure AD Connect to setup the new accounts on Office365 in Advance ? I was thinking of setting up an internal relay between the old and new org to deal with intercompany email during the course of the migration. My only concern is does Azure ADConnect provide a proper Single Sign Experience ? (I know Online Exchange isn't really SSO as you have to enter the password and remember creditionals),However I don't think it is a worthwhile solution if users have to enter there password twice.I am going to set this up a lab in the next week to get an idea, but I was wondering if there were any tips\horror stories from the coal face that would help.

So do you think ill need to setup an exchange hybrid or should I be able to do all admin post migration via the office365 console ?
So will the synch features require users to enter passwords twice ? ( even if it is the same one)
Take a look at MigrationWiz. They are very good at this sort of migration scenario.
