My old DC has (Win-2K3 standard edition). I created a new ADC after adding Roles in  new DC (Win-2K8  Standard Edition)

After creating the Additional Domain Controller, I transfer all FSMO role to new ADC i.e. (Win-2K8  Standard Edition).

Checked all  the FSMO Roles by using command line tool

NETDOM QUERY FSMO

It showing the new ADC hostname . (dot) Domain Name

But before when I going to decommissioning old DC and checked using the ADSI Edit tool

Click on Action -> Connect to  Old DC

Then “Select  a Well known Naming Context”  -> selecting Configuration in the drop down List

Configuration (double click) CN=Configuration, DC=fffforestrootdomain

                                            CN=ForestUpdate – Properties – Revision attribute value is 2 instead of 5

Similarly for Schema  CN=Schema, DC=fffforestrootdomain

                                    Properties – Revision attribute value is 44 instead of 47

What may be expected error I have to check before I will going to decommission the old DC

Need to configure the Few Registry for PDC & enable DNS Debug log for get the client info those are resolving the old DC. Later change the DHCP scope accordingly.
