Migration from FRS to DFS-R and its impact on current DFS shares

I've been rummaging around the web trying to figure this out, but
can't find anything - my fu must be weak today.

We've got 4 x 2012 R2 DCs, and we're at 2008R2 DFL/FFL.

I've found a whole bunch on migrating from FRS to DFS-R for sysvol
replication, but I'm wondering about impact on our current DFS file
shares on our servers - things like \example.com\us\users and
\example.com\au\groups, etc.

AFAICT they should not be affected by this migration, but would like
to review some documentation on it, or at least hear reassuring words
from someone who's gone through the process.

So far, I've looked at the following - if my question is answered
anywhere in these, I missed it:

Mark,

That's what I was hoping to hear.

We started with 2003R2, and then added some 2008R2 DCs, and have since
moved to entirely 2012R2, so we're still at FRS.

I'll be migrating SYSVOL replication from FRS to DFS-R in the next few days.

Once that's done, I plan on configuring replication for the current
DFS shares on our file servers.

Thank you very much.

Kurt

The two should be mutually exclusive and DFS-N only using DFS-R.

SYSVOL replication is dependant upon what OS your domain started at.
