I have a new Windows 2012 server which is using NTLM instead of Kerberos authentication. It is going to be a hyperv host , so I need Kerberos to register the various SPNs and setup the delegation.
So how can i get this server to use Kerberos ?

Join an AD domain or Kerberos realm.

Two questions:

1.

Is the server joined to AD (as Slav implicitly wonders)?

2.

If joined, how do you know that Kerberos is not working?

The server was coming up with a net logon failure, but it looks like the network card wasn't waiting on the lan.  It was using ntlm as it said it in the event logs. There was a load if ports blocked on the old ad controller due to Kaspersky including 88. Once this was remove everything appeared to work as it should.
The next thing is port 123  is blocked , so an external ntp server cant be set.
