I updated a Hyperv Server this evening with a bucket load of new memory. All went well and to test the Save State Function on Hyperv I used this on 2 of the DCs on this Server. Now everything came back up smoothly apart from 1 thing. The PDCs time clock is set to Local CMOS and the group policy to kick in for the PDC to go to the external time clocks wont kick in.I changed the PDC role to the 2nd DC and the same problem occurs. Now apparently when a Hyperv Host is offline and come back up the VMs on it get the time from this server. That's fine, but has anybody seen anything similarly painful ? I have gone through attempting to add the NTP Servers manually to the PDC .There are loads of hints and tips out there, but NADA is working from me.I didn't have much hair at the start of this evening and I have less now.Any ideas where anybody has seen somebody similar then can they send on some ideas ?
Time to go home....
