Unable to reset password for user account on one DC any suggestion plzzzzz.

Hello ,
I am unable to reset password for Domain user account on one DC however if i try reset from other DC i am able to do this.
Any suggestion plzz,

Thanks jorge for response.
I am getting below message while resetting the password on one Domain controller , however if i try to reset the password for the same user  from another DC i am able to reset it .
this is message is only coming once i try to reset the password from one Domain controller .

Sorry if this is telling you to suck eggs.. Whenever things are different of different DC’s check replication, especially Group Policy Replication:- http://blogs.technet.com/b/askds/archive/2012/08/23/ad-replication-status-tool-is-live.aspx Have you moved any of the DC’s out of the default “domain controllers” OU or created sub-ou’s so that different policies are applied to the DC’s? Do the “Password last changed” flags match on all DC’s Dave

Replication is working fine and there was no any changes were made
Just checked password last changed for couple of users and its showing same.

Hi Abhay,



I bet there is a password policy active here.....try a password wit minimum 810 characters with uppercase / lowercase / numbers and a sign like @



check all your gp settings after that.

And all the DCs are still in the default OU and have the same policy? Does running GPRESULT on the DC’s show up any difference?

Is the DC where you are able to reset the password applying group policy properly? Sounds like the other DC is enforcing stronger password requirements than the DC that allows the password reset..

Yes Jorge, i am doing Reset .(I’m assuming Password Reset and the way you are doing that is right-click account, select Reset Password, provide new password, OK ß Correct?)
 
i am able to reset password if i try to reset it from any other domain controller however not able to reset it from one domain controller only
Windows server 2008 standard edition is installed on the DC where i am not able to reset the password for the user account.
